Alfira the Tiefling Bard is the first person to die in Baldur's Gate 3 due to the player's Dark Urge.

Alfira can be found near Emerald Grove in Act 1 and can be talked to about her music, providing a lute and musical skills.

If playing as the Dark Urge, Alfira will come to the player's camp after meeting Kagha and will be killed during the night.

. To prevent Alfira from coming to camp and being killed, the player must weaken her before going to sleep for a long rest.

Non-lethal fighting must be turned on in the Passives menu and magic or ranged attacks should be avoided to avoid accidentally killing Alfira.

By saving Alfira, a Dragonborn named Quil will be killed instead, and the player won't miss out on any story or loot.

After saving Alfira, she can be found in the Last Light Inn during Act 2 and will give a quest called "Rescue the Tieflings" if told about Tieflings being taken to Moonrise Towers.

Saving the Tieflings will reward the player with the Potent Robe, which boosts the damage of cantrips and provides temporary hit points for Bards based on their Charisma.
