Simone Biles triumphs in the all-around competition at the World Championships in Gymnastics.

With a dominant performance on Friday, Simone Biles earned her sixth global all-around title. She has accumulated more medals than any other gymnast, male or female, in competition history. With her victory, she ties the record of the Soviet, Unified Russian team, and Belarus-based athlete Vitaly Scherbo from the 1990s, who won 34 medals at world championships and Olympics between them.

Biles scored 58.399 thanks to her stellar performances across the board. She took a lead of over a full point into the last rotation, and her performance on the court helped her win gold. Rebeca Andrade of Brazil came in second with a score of 56.766, and Shilese Jones of the United States got third with a score of 56.332.
