There is no doubt that Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as LA lawyer Mickey Haller. There’s heat in this ride, and it’s not from Los Angeles. You might want to roll down the windows. A third season of The Lincoln Lawyer will feature Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller.
For a third season, 10 new episodes will be based on The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer series. “The reaction from viewers has been so nice and rewarding, and we are thrilled to be able to dive back into Michael Connelly’s world and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, who run the show, told Netflix.

Along with Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freeman are also coming back. The second season of The Lincoln Lawyer started on July 6, 2023, and quickly made its way to the top of the Netflix Global Top 10 list. As of August 29, 2023, it had a total of 40 million views and was in the top 10 in 81 countries.

After the previous season, Mickey had a rough time at work and in his personal life. Mickey had to show that Lisa Trammell (Lana Parrilla), a charming restaurant owner and activist, wasn’t guilty of killing a well-known city businessman. It was even more difficult because the lawyer and the client were dating—before they started working together, of course! Lisa was not guilty, but her shady past caught up with her and made it impossible for her to date Mickey.
At this point, it looks like the brilliant lawyer can handle most problems, but Season 3 will be very close to home. In the last few minutes of Season 2, Mickey finds out that his friend Glory Days (Fiona Rene), whom he worked with on Season 1’s Jesus Menendez case, has died. According to executive director Ross Fineman, it will be the hardest case he’s ever had, both at work and in his personal life. Fineman told Tudum this in July. “She was his friend and someone he cared about. He needs to know what happened to her.” He might have been guilty in some way, and it keeps coming back to him.
Hold on tight, because more trial drama and LA food tours are on the way, with hopefully fewer ambushes in parking garages. You can watch the first two seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer right now on Netflix.
