Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, might want to rent a car, since the busy Lincoln Lawyer crew is about to get two more people. I’m happy to say that Lana Parrilla and Yaya DaCosta have joined the cast of the legal thriller for Season 2, which will have 10 episodes. The roles played by Parrilla and DaCosta are sure to keep Los Angeles’s famously rebellious lawyer on his toes.
Parrilla, who was Regina Mills on Once Upon a Time, will play Lisa Trammell, a well-known cook in the area and supporter of the community. Lisa will join Mickey’s world as she fights to keep her beloved restaurant open in the face of a shady real estate developer who wants to build in her neighborhood.
Fans of Lincoln Lawyer will know that Lisa is just like Mickey’s other clients who are having a hard time. The character of DaCosta, on the other hand? Not really.
DaCosta plays Andrea Freeman, another lawyer who went to Chicago Med. Andrea is a cruel prosecutor and Mickey’s foe in court who has never lost. Things are already tricky enough, but Anna is also very close with Mickey’s ex-wife and co-parent Maggie McPherson (Neve Campbell).
Maggie played by Campell will be back, along with all of your other favorite Lincoln Lawyer characters. In Season 2, Becki Newton will play Lorna again, Jazz Raycole will play Izzy, and Angus Sampson will play Cisco. The show is based on The Fifth Witness, the fourth book in Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series. No one knows when Season 2 will start, so we’ll have to wait to find out which lucky character will next get to ride with Mickey to his favorite food truck.
