Melanie McBride will play Carol again in Season 2 of “Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”

Norm Reedus and Melissa McBride are getting back together. McBride will play Carol Peletier again in Season 2 of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”

AMC made the news at New York Comic Con as part of their presentation. The spinoff’s second season, which has already been named “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol,” will have McBride as a main cast member.

The Season 1 finale of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” will air on AMC and AMC+ on October 15. McBride will be in the show. There is currently work going on for Season 2, which will come out in 2024.

The news is sure to thrill “The Walking Dead” fans, who have loved McBride and Reedus’s characters for a long time. Both actors were lead players in the main show for all 11 seasons. They were supposed to be in a spinoff together at first, but in 2022, it was reported that McBride would be leaving the show. Carol is “a very big part of Daryl’s story,” so Reedus has hinted that she might come back before.

The last time McBride saw Carol, she was upset as she watched her best friend Daryl ride off. This made her feel like there was a lot more to her story. They have deep stories, whether they’re together or apart (hopefully!). I can’t wait to keep Carol’s journey going here. The storytellers have done a great job putting these two well-known characters in a place they have never been to before. I love what they’ve found!”

In the spinoff, Daryl (Reedus) ends up on the French coast. A police report says that he “struggles to piece together how he got there and why.” You can follow his trip through a broken but strong France as he tries to find his way back home. The people he meets along the way, on the other hand, make his final plan more difficult to carry out.

The show also has Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, and Eriq Ebouaney as actors. David Zabel runs the show and is an executive director. Along with Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman, and Steve Squillante, Reedus and McBride are also showrunners.

In other news about the “Walking Dead” world, AMC announced that the Rick-Michonne crossover series “The Ones Who Live” will start in February and shared new looks at the show.
